How can there be a normal in a world of many shapes and colours?

Have you ever felt lost, out of place or different? Or maybe you know someone like that, have loved someone like that or you’re one of those who kick out the abnormals.

In this article, I hope to give comfort to myself and everyone else out there who feels out of place or isolated as well as to give insights to those who uphold a normal and wouldn’t accommodate those who are otherwise.

First, you need to change your view on life and have an open mind.

Knowing that things are bound to change and you won’t always have control over the course they take. The moment something doesn’t work out the way you want, whatever follows is out of your control and needs to be accepted by you.

Think of it this way; you make plans to make dinner with your electric pot in a place where there’s never been an outage and with no prior warning or notification, you experience a power outage while preparing your dinner. What happened was out of control and however you sort out the meal that night is a drift from the normal. It could affect your breakfast the next day and subsequently your flow of cash.

Second, not all pieces fix in a puzzle and not all puzzles have perfectly fixed pieces.

The world isn’t meant to be uniform or blended, it’s bits and bits of many pieces, multiple main points of diverse ideas, a product of thousands of circumstances.

If the world seems too large as a reference, take a look at the sky and all that makes it up, its components during the day or at night, when it’s rainy or sunny, summer or winter, every time of the day, week, month or year and see how all of those features don’t fit perfectly into the blue sky but beautify it and help it serve its purpose.

Last, there are only two things you’re made of: what you are and what you aren’t.

Instead of focusing on trying to blend into something you aren’t, how about you build on what you are and shine brightly? Make your colour mix, carve your shapes and reveal them to the world.

Do you want to tell me about some normals around you or where you grew up? I’ll love to read them in the comment section! Be sure to clap and follow.
